The Tourism Society and TravelGBI present The EU referendum and Brexit - one year on a joint event to debate the real issues that we see approaching those directly or indirectly working within the Tourism, Leisure, Retail and Hospitality sectors.

With talks underway, and in the context of a changing political environment, what are the big issues impacting the visitor economy.  What is the outlook for the future hospitality workforce and how do we plug the skills gap? What does the future hold for current EU funded programmes supporting rural tourism initiatives? How will perceptions of the UK welcome be influenced by “hard Brexit” negotiations?

We have brought together a seasoned chair Ian Taylor and 4 speakers to join our panel discussion to debate, learn and gain key insights into how to best prepare for a changing future.

The discussion will take place on board the R. S. Hispaniola, moored opposite the London Eye and with views - appropriately - of the Houses of Parliament and there will be ample time for networking over a drink and refreshments afterwards.
