Membership growth is central to The Tourism Society’s business strategy. We are looking for a Membership Executive who can apply their experience of sales and commercial activity to drive significant membership growth through direct approaches to companies and individuals. Immediate start preferred.
Key responsibilities will include significantly increasing membership of The Tourism Society and its professional sections through proactive targeting of new individual and corporate prospects. Relationship management with existing corporate partners will be an important aspect of the role.
The successful candidate will be well-organised, self-starting and target-led, with excellent communication skills and a desire to achieve the growth planned for the Society. They must be comfortable working in a small, dynamic organisation. Regular reports provided to the Executive Director will give details of progress against targets and show planned activity.
This is a part-time role, currently for 22.5 hours per week (equivalent to three days at 7.5 hours per day). Full-time salary would be £20,000; pro rata equivalent is £12,000.
