Winner of the 2016 Tourism Society Scotland Award Announced
Today it was revealed that Sally Peacock, undergraduate student at Edinburgh Napier University is the winner of the 2016 Tourism Society Scotland Student Award. Established in 2015, the award recognises the achievements of the Edinburgh Napier University undergraduate student with the highest mark in the Year One module: Introduction to Hospitality, Tourism & Events.
Presenting the award, Chair of Tourism Society Scotland Helen Adams said:
“We’re delighted to present this award to Sally who has achieved an outstanding mark during her studies. Tourism Society Scotland recognises the importance of supporting students as they develop their skills and enter the tourism sector, and the breadth of this particular module reflects the breadth of The Society’s membership that includes professionals form all parts of the visitor economy”.
In addition to today’s announcement, Sally will receive a year’s membership to the society, with the opportunity to network with peers across the industry as she commences her career within the sector.
