Advertising opportunities

Advertising with the Tourism Society is the simplest way to get your message out across the whole tourism and travel industry. The variety of advertising channels we can offer will suit any budget and a flexible approach to bundling the different options means you can put together the best campaign to achieve maximum exposure at the best value.

Job vacancies can be advertised on our website and in our weekly newsletter - these are free for Tourism Society members.

Print advertising
Our quarterly journal ‘Tourism’ and our annual membership directory both present excellent opportunities to publish a long-lasting advertisement.

Tourism, our quarterly journal, blends a mix of news, trends, reviews and Society meeting reports into one regular publication.
Format: A4 full colour
Published March, June, September, December
Circulation: approx 1700, to all Tourism society members, subscribing college and university libraries, MPs and members of the press.
Readership: approx 3000
Duration: three months, with issues being kept as a reference source for much longer.

Our annual membership directory lists contact details of Society members and is printed and sent to all our members throughout the industry.
Format: A5 mono with full colour covers

Duration: 12 months

Inserts and flyers can be added to the mailings for both the journal and the directory.

Online and email advertising
Website advertising. Our website attracts 2200 visits a month and 1600 unique visitors. You can take the banner space, which appears at the top of each page of our website, or advertise job vacancies on the dedicated ‘Careers Marketplace’ page. The packages also include advertising through Twitter.

Email advertising. Each week an e-newsletter is written and circulated to all members. In addition, dedicated emails can be sent to members highlighting your products and services.

Promote yourself
Don't hide your light under a bushel. Post your CV on the Tourism Society website and promote yourself among the tourism world. It's simple - just send your CV as a pdf to and we will do the rest. It is free for Society members and costs just £15 for non-member students or £25 for other non-members. Listing is for six months.
